Nestled in the beautiful northern english landscape the dwelling's form is born out of being part of the landscape.

The undulating hills of the local area are the inspiration for the dwelling's roofscape.

The lower ground is designed into the hillside with a roof terrace over, blurring the lines between house and garden. 

A sedum roof provides a habitat for local flora and fauna, replacing the lawn taken by the footprint of the upper floor. 

The arrangement of the internal and external spaces coupled with floor to ceiling glazing provides panoramic views of the countryside.

An external dining area, under the dappled shade of an intergrated pergola is proposed at the heart of the dwelling, where the family can gather.
